The Highly Skilled Professional visa (高度人材ビザ) in Japan is designed to attract foreign workers with advanced and specialized skills to enhance Japan’s economic competitiveness. This visa is divided into three main categories: Advanced Academic Research Activities: For those engaged in research or academic activities. Advanced Specialized/Technical Activities: For those with specialized skills in fields like IT, engineering, and healthcare. Advanced Business Management Activities: For executives and managers.

Specified Skilled Workers
The Specified Skilled Worker (特定技能制度, Tokutei Ginou Seido) program in Japan is designed to address labor shortages in specific industries by allowing foreign workers with certain skills to work in Japan. There are two types of Specified Skilled Worker visas: 1. Specified Skilled Worker (i): This visa allows workers to stay in Japan for up to five years. It does not permit family accompaniment. It is aimed at individuals with skills in fields like construction, agriculture, and nursing care. 2.
